Unite Oil & Gas International (UOGI), based in Houston, and the Congolese company Aries Energies have launched Bomoko Oil & Gas, a new entity aimed at sustainably developing hydrocarbon assets in the Republic of Congo.
This initiative, established through a memorandum of understanding, seeks to combine UOGI’s technological expertise and asset management capabilities with Aries Energies’ in-depth knowledge of the local energy landscape.
“I am thrilled about this partnership,” said Yachtze Luchin, President and CEO of UOGI.
“It aligns with our mission to help Congo optimize its hydrocarbon resources. Through this collaboration with the private sector, we advance resource optimization while increasing opportunities for local employment, contracts, and talent development, thereby contributing to building a stronger economic environment.”
UOGI, which has already signed agreements with the National Petroleum Company of Congo (SNPC), aims to support the Republic of Congo’s hydrocarbon sector through this venture.
Loic Mackosso, Managing Director of Aries Energies, added, “Bomoko Oil & Gas represents our vision of sustainable and locally-driven energy, championed by stakeholders committed to Congo’s development. By collaborating with UOGI, we merge our deep understanding of the Congolese market with UOGI’s global technical expertise to create value that benefits both our economy and our communities.”
The company will prioritize local engagement, including workforce development, subcontracting with local suppliers, and adherence to international safety and sustainability standards.
